DEAD AIR (2009)

Note: The following was watched out of the corner of my eye while working at EYESORE CINEMA (801 Queen Street West).

It's nice to see character actor Bill Mosley (House of 1000 Corpses, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) get a chance to play the lead, but it's a shame his character and the film never take any chances. DEAD AIR is one of the one of the oh-so-popular rage virus "kinda zombie" films. It does nothing new with the genre as it lumbers toward a surprise free conclusion (Well, there's a goofy out of nowhere happy ending). It's not all-and-out bad, just un-noteworthy. Gore-hounds keep yourself in check because there's little note worthy stuff. The link with the non-zombie film PONTYPOOL begins and ends with the Radio Station location. See the former instead!
